AT HOME :: BAR CART
29.01.13

I have to admit, I have never tasted a drop of alcohol in my life, that's why it sounds a bit weird that I want to create a small bar cart in our living room. But although I don't drink alcohol, I love to have the opportunity to mix some cocktails for our guests. As I'm not so into this whole bar stuff I reached out via Skype for professional help to get some tips. Berkant Arik, friend of mine and bar owner at Red Lounge is well known bartender and cocktails mixer in Hamburg's bar scene. His signature are cocktails with gin. I wish I had captured some videos of all those acrobatic cocktails shaking back in Hamburg. It always looks so cool and easy. But trust me, it's not that easy. Personal tip, practice with plastic bottles.
Here comes our short Skype session and some inspiration from all over the internet. How about you? What do you think about bar carts?

  1. Oh, I want a bar cart too! I am on the prowl for a nice wooden mid-century one, unfortunately they are always super expensive. If I ever get one I'll definitely come back to your tips for stocking it!
