ON TOUR :: POTRERO HILL

by

When strolling the streets of Potrero Hill you will most likely feel like strolling a small town streets than a new trendy neighborhood in San Francisco. This sun kissed, quiet and sleepy spot invites you to have a stunning view of SF’s skyline, the Bay and Twin Peaks, eat delicious food in local restaurants and relax while reading a book in one of its community gardens. Since still undiscovered by the tourists Potrero Hill is a real local gem. It’s even still undiscovered by Karl, the Fog on most of the days. The daily life on Potrero Hill takes place at the 18th street between Arkansas street and Texas street. Here you will see people enjoying their morning coffee sitting at the parking lot-terrace in front of Farley’s, waiting in the sun for a spot at Plow and doing errands at the New Potrero Market. It seams nobody is in a rush at Potrero Hill. So if you are visiting or being a San Francisco’s “old hand” Potrero Hill is definitely worth climbing its steep streets.

    I loved this post! I haven’t spent much time in Potrero Hill, but this makes me want to! A friend of mine lives there and is always telling me how great it is, and now after reading this, I think it’s time for us to go explore a little!
