As we were looking for an apartment here In San Francisco I was hoping to find one with an older kitchen which has good bones. We saw so many new installed kitchens without any trace of esthetic aspect. Brown cabinets with marbled counter tops sky-high. You might have a new kitchen but no chance to decorate it. An older kitchen means, you can express yourself without having your landlord going crazy when you move out. You can paint the cabinets, add new pulls or even change the counter tops and the floor, which is my next project. I’m pretty happy with our kitchen, it has a big bright window, white cabinets, new oven and enough working space. The only things I would like to change are the the floor tiles and the counter top plus sink. I want a butchers counter top and wooden floors with white stripes. That’s all. Maybe some new backdrop tiles, but than that’s all. Here are some inspiration pins I’m spying at. What is your kitchen style? Cozy? Modern? Vintage?

I love all of these kitchens! I could flip through interior design catalogs all day. I love seeing the way other people decorate their homes. The only trouble is, there are SO many styles I love, it’s hard to combine them into something cohesive when I decorate my own space!
