WREATH CENTERPIECE

by

I’m finally getting into the Christmas mood, guys. It’s much colder here in SF and it starts to feel like winter. Yesterday was so cold and rainy that I only wanted to get home and get knee deep into hot chocolate. But cold weather is good because I’m staring to think about the holidays. I told you I missed the first advent last Sunday and that I got this small, cute wreath from Trader Joe’s as filler before making something more fancy.
Plan has changed, I’m keeping the wreath because it has the perfect shape to hold one big candle, it fits perfectly on the table and with only few more items from the fruit department it got pretty nice I think. Last year was everything about modern, neon decoration; this year there will be more traditional colors and natural details, like cranberries, apples, pine cones and lots of greens at our home. Jazzing up this wreath was super easy. You only need a green plain wreath, some lady apples, few cranberries and few toothpicks. Just pick the fruit onto the toothpick and stick it into the wreath. Voliá!  There are so many ways you can arrange the fruit, play around and see what works best for you. Oh and by the way, the total cost of this wreath was maybe $10! You cannot beat this price.  And you can use the rest of the apples and cranberries to make this cranberry-orange jam or this baked apple rings? So what do you say, do you like it?
