I definitely have to be a little bit more organized with my pictures. I found another stack of photos from my Treasure Island Flea Market trip I meant to share with you – last year. But as the saying says, it’s never to late so here we go with some inspiration for your next San Francisco field trip. Only a short drive over the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island is a man-made island build in the 30s to host a world fair and celebrate back then newly opened San Francisco bridges. Nowadays Treasure Island is a mostly known for the yearly Treasure Island Festival and monthly, weekend-long flea market. The flea market is not that big as the Alameda one and also not so expensive, but is a good 2 hours stroll with some amazing vintage finds for reasonable prices, small local businesses and good food. It’s perfect way to spend a Saturday with your girlfriends. Go on a hunt for some treasures, don’t forget to haggle with the vendors, grab a coffee and some food, have a seat and enjoy the most amazing view of San Francisco’s skyline. It’s truly magic to see the city from this angle. But don’t forget to wear layers and bring a scarf with you, it can get pretty windy and chilly in a second as the island is in the middle of the bay. The good thing is, if you feel like this is something you want to do this weekend, you can. The next flea market is on 29th-30th March. So call your girls and save the date.
