ON TOUR :: THE MILL, SAN FRANCISCO

Finally! After 9 months the search is over. We found the yummiest german-style bread in San Francisco. The whole time it was just 4 blocks away from our apartment, the Mill on Divisadero.
A few days ago we stumbled into the Mill after our run. Entering the big industrial-rustic styled space with lots of white and wood we were hit by the scent of fresh baked bread. I suppose this is how the bread-haven should smell. The Mill is a collaboration between Josey Baker Bread and Four Barrel.
Josey provides about 6 different kinds of breads while Four Barrel offers their famous pour-over coffee and other coffee specialties. And then there is also a toast bar. For $3,50 you get, not toast more a slab with everyday changing homemade spread like almond butter or just butter with cinnamon sugar. Yeah, I know you are already hungry as I am. For the gluten-free and vegan folks there is also a wide range of delicious pastry. Who hasn’t eaten enough bread and hasn’t drunken enough coffee the shelves are filled with take-with-you items like whole coffee beans, honey, honey spoons, french press and some other stuff you might need to organize the Mill-inspired breakfast at home. So now to all my fellow Germans in SF and all others, go to the Mill, order your coffee, taste the bread and tell me am I right? I’m sure I am.
